A Dental Implant Solution for Insufficient Bone

Zygomatic and pterygoid implants are for people who have little or no bone in their upper jaw, or terminal dentition.

Using a technique developed in the 80s and 90s, zygomatic implants enable you to walk out of our office the same day with new teeth.

If you’ve been told you’re not a candidate for dental implants, there is always an option, even without any bone, using zygomatic and pterygoid implants.

Thanks to the zygomatic and pterygoid implants, we perform full arch implant rehabilitation and deliver teeth for every patient on the day of surgery.

Zygomatic and Pterygoid Implants vs. Mini-implants

We’re often asked about mini-implants. Mini-implants are not in the same league as and cannot accomplish the same thing as zygomatic implants, pterygoid implants, or, for that matter, traditional dental implants.

Zygomatic and pterygoid implants are much longer than traditional implants and are placed at an angle into the cheek bone, or zygoma, completely bypassing the need for bone grafts. Placing long, angled implants into the zygoma and pterygoid is significantly better than placing six straight implants (or mini-implants) into low quality bone under the sinus.

Dr. Oliverie’s experience and skill with zygomatic and pterygoid implants elevate her among implant dentists in New Jersey, making her your best option if you need implants but are suffering from bone loss.
